| A Personal Note From Matt
|
| "The course of Life is unpredictable. no one can write his autobiography in advance" As I begin to write the next chapter in my mortgage career this motto seems very appropriate. As you may have heard by now the mortgage industry has been very tumultuous over the last several months. Several very large billion dollar companies were forced to close their doors for good. Unfortunately, my former company, First Magnus (which owned Amtrust) was also forced to close. I can not say that I did not suspect that we too were vulnerable and therefore needed to be prepared for a change that would be in our client's best interest. Change is never easy and often avoided but some of the best things in life are the result of a gentle nudge in a new direction. I am very fortunate and pleased to announce that several partners and I have opened the Perimeter Branch office for Home Town Mortgage, Inc. We are extremely excited about this partnership with Home Town Mortgage as it will allow for us to continue offering a wide variety of products, aggressive pricing as well as in house underwriting and closing. All of these elements are what give a good Mortgage Originator the tools to create "Customers for Life". I want to thank those of you I have already heard from and invite anyone to contact me directly if you have and questions or concerns. There will be more to follow but, please make note that most of my information will stay the same and only my address will change. The market is NOT as horrible as the media would have you believe and we are looking forward to a great finish to 2007.
